Celebrating 80 Issues of Supernova!

For 80 issues, Supernova has been exploring the world with curious minds like yours. We’ve travelled through history, discovered incredible animals, uncovered strange science, met inspiring people and asked some seriously big questions along the way.

This issue is no different! From Africa’s most dangerous animals to the mysteries philosophers have puzzled over for thousands of years, there’s plenty to discover. From the tiniest insect to the biggest elephant, the natural world is full of incredible creatures. Some have powerful bodies, clever hunting strategies and amazing defences that help them survive. Others might look harmless but have surprising ways of protecting themselves.

In this issue, we get up close with Africa’s most dangerous animals and discover that being dangerous isn’t always about being big, strong or scary-looking. We’ve also turned our curiosity closer to home… inside you! Your skeleton may look like a simple framework of bones, but it’s actually living, growing and constantly rebuilding itself. It’s a perfect example of something Supernova has always believed: sometimes the most amazing discoveries are hiding in places you never thought to look.

Reaching our 80th issue is a pretty big adventure and we couldn’t have done it without our brilliant readers. So, as you explore this special issue, I hope you’ll celebrate with us by doing what Supernova readers do best: stay curious, ask questions, explore the world and never stop wondering what’s next!

Here’s to 80 issues of discovery and many more adventures to come!

Candice 🙂 (Supernova’s editor)
