Description

You all know by now how much I love discovering new things. I’m also sure that by now you must have heard a few things about the new species discovered in The Cradle of Humankind, Homo naledi. We can’t deny that it’s an extraordinary discovery. There are so many questions left unanswered.

Questions that have been at the front of my mind lately are: What else is there to be discovered? What else has lain hidden for centuries without our knowledge? There is so much left to explore and discover! I’m excited!

The beauty of discovery is that you don’t have to go far to discover things that can tell us more about our history. Many people have made really cool discoveries in their very own backyards! For example, when Ben was in school, he found a Stone Age tool in his garden. How cool is that? My dad, while digging around in the flower beds of his parents’ house, found antique apothecary weights. Who knows what is waiting for you to discover in your backyard!

Keep asking questions. Keep exploring. Stay curious!
