Shipping the magazine
It’s no problem. Merely send an email to sales@bkpublishing.co.za with your name, surname and subscription name containing the updated information. We will update your details and send you a confirmation email once we have done this.
Unfortunately, the Post Office does take time or might have some logistical problems. Please send us an email so that we can investigate what is going on. If we have not received a returned magazine it can be assumed that your order was lost in transit and in this case, we will gladly replace your magazine. Just a reminder: Supernova only comes out ever second month.

Most issues of Supernova will have at least one feature that is completely and intentionally CAPS-aligned, and the other features can usually fall in as well. Click here for more.
It will depend on your child’s reading level and what he/she would be more interested in. High Five™ has text that is larger and kept to very short paragraphs, perfect for an early reader. Highlights™ has smaller text and more in-depth features and ideas.
Supernova magazine is designed for kids between the ages of 8 and 15. The levels of information, activities, jokes, and featured content will find a reader across the age group range. Kids that are still learning to read might prefer the Highlights™ magazines.

Supernova Premium Subscription:
Supernova Premium Subscription offers your child the chance to be a part of the SN Kids Club which is a month-to-month membership subscription. This includes:
- Membership
- Your Premium Subscription will begin once you have signed up and will continue until terminated.
- Your child will receive one new Supernova magazine, published every two months. Supernova magazine is committed to publishing on a strict schedule; however, due to unforeseen circumstances, such as strikes, lockdowns, natural disaster, etc., it may happen that publication is delayed. In such an event, you will continue to receive access to electronic versions.
- Door-to-door courier: we will provide you with a tracing number, which is sent to the provided email. You remain responsible for updating your delivery address if and when you relocate. To update your delivery address, please email sales@bkpublishing.co.za. You will remain liable for the cost of resending your magazine, if our courier is unable to reach you.
- We are committed to ensuring that you will receive your magazine despite delays, theft or hijacking.
- To use online Supernova content, you must have Internet access and a device.

- Subscribe on the ‘Subscribe to Supernova’ page on the shop.bkpublishing.co.za website. Choose your subscription, click the ‘Add to Order’ button and you will be taken to the checkout form. On the checkout form, you must fill out your details to create an account, and pay to begin your subscription.
- To unsubscribe, simply log onto your account on the shop.bkpublishing.co.za website. Follow the instructions for cancellation. You can cancel your SN Kids Club membership at any time. However, you are still able to purchase on the account you created.
- Prices and subscription plans may be subject to change in the future, but subscribers will be notified 30 days prior to the change.
3. Billing and cancellation
- To use the Premium Subscription, you must provide a valid payment method. You authorise us to charge the payment method you have provided to us when you subscribe.
- You remain responsible for any uncollected amounts. If a payment is not successfully settled, due to expiration, insufficient funds, or otherwise, and you do not cancel your account, we may suspend your access to the subscription until we have successfully charged a valid payment method.
- The subscription fee for the Premium plan will be charged to your payment method with which you subscribed. If you update your payment method, you authorise us to continue to charge the applicable payment method.
- You can cancel your subscription plan at any time, just log into your account and select cancel.
- To the extent permitted by the applicable law, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for any partial subscription periods or unused Supernova content.
4. Exclusive offers
- Subscribers are eligible for exclusive competitions (from time-to-time, SN Kids Club members will be given the opportunity to take part in competitions administered by BK Publishing for BK Publishing products and services or for products and services on behalf of third-party partners. These competitions will be governed by the terms and conditions and privacy policy described below) .
- Subscribers receive a free gift in the child’s birthday month (reserved only for individual subscribers and one gift per subscription. Gifts may vary in value and are subject to stock and availability. Gifts will be delivered via courier along with the printed magazine. Gifts may not necessarily be shipped in the month of the child’s birthday. Though we source products from reputable manufacturers and these are checked before shipping, we do not accept any responsibility for faults or damages. Prizes and gifts are non-transferable or exchangeable).
- Subscribers may be offered discounted rates for BK Publishing products and services on kidsmag.co.za and shop.bkpublishing.co.za (Discounts and specials are given in the form of coupons via the newsletter. Coupons provided will be subject to expiration, and may be limited to specific products).
- Passwords and Account Access
- The member who created the SN Kids Club account and whose payment method is charged (the ‘Account Owner’) is responsible for any activity that occurs through the SN Kids Club account. To maintain control over the account and to prevent anyone from accessing the Supernova content (which would include electronic resources, including back issues, E-magazines, electronic articles, and email newsletters), the Account Owner should maintain control over the device that is used to access the content and not reveal the password or details of the payment method associated with the account to anyone. You are responsible for updating and maintaining the accuracy of the information you provide to us relating to your account. We can terminate your account or place your account on hold in order to protect you, Supernova or our partners from identity theft or other fraudulent activity.
- Upon creating your account, you will receive a generated password which can be changed to your liking after you have first logged in.
6. Warranties and Limitations on Liability
- Supernova subscriptions to the print magazine are guaranteed and therefore subscribers are ensured that they will receive their print magazines, regardless of theft and hijacking while in transit.
- However, our online content may not be uninterrupted or error-free. You waive all special, indirect, and consequential damages against us. These terms will not limit any non-waivable warranties or consumer protection rights that you may be entitled to under the mandatory laws of South Africa.

Unsolicited physical manuscripts are not the responsibility of BK Publishing (pty) ltd and may be kept on site or destroyed, and will not be returned or covered by this Privacy Policy.

Related Services
BK Publishing (pty) ltd is the holding company for a number of subsidiaries and we share your information across our different internal entities. We share your personal information internally between our entities to provide and develop our services. We may combine information internally across the different services/products to help our services be more relevant and useful to you and others.
Service Providers and Contracted Third-Parties
BK Publishing (pty) ltd uses third-party service providers to fulfil the services and deliverables for which you have engaged us. Information Retention
We keep your Personal Information while you are a BK Publishing (pty) ltd customer, and need to provide you with services or sales. We will process your information while your relationship with us is active and while you keep on making use of our services. This includes any information you have provided to us.
Even if you are only active every few years, we will retain your information and keep your Personal Information on file until you decide to stop using our services. We will also keep your information where you have agreed for us to do so, or have given your consent that we are allowed to do so.

Rights to access and control your Personal Information
You have rights in connection with your Personal Information. You have many choices about how your information is collected, used and shared. These rights include the following:
Request access to your information
You will be able to ask us what information we have about you as well as ask for a copy of this information. This should be done on request to mail@bkpublishing.co.za. There are some exemptions, which means you may not always receive all the information we process. When we can give you a copy, (this might be done at a certain fee), which will also be communicated to you at the time of your query. For security reasons, you may need to identify yourself before such information is shared with you.
Change or correct information
You have the right to ask us to rectify information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.
Delete information
You can ask us to delete or remove personal information under certain circumstances.
Object to processing
You can do this where we rely on your legitimate interest, public interest or our legitimate interest (or those of a third-party) and there is something about your particular situation that makes you want to object to processing on this ground. You also have the right to object where we are processing your personal information for direct marketing purposes or where you have given your consent for the specific processing, and you want to retract your consent. Retracting your consent does not invalidate your information we lawfully processed while we had your consent to do so.
Request the restriction of processing
You can ask us to suspend the processing of personal information about you, for example, if you want us to establish its accuracy or the reason for processing it.
Where you want to review, verify or correct your personal information, you can do so by logging into the online system where you registered. If you want to object to the processing of your personal information or retract your consent, please send an email to mail@bkpublishing.co.za
8. Changes to our Privacy Notice
Changes to the Privacy Notice apply to your use of our services after the “Effective date”. BK Publishing (pty) ltd can modify this Privacy Notice. When material changes are made, we will provide notice through our services, or publish it on our website or newsletters, to provide you with the opportunity to review the changes before they become effective.
You acknowledge that your continued use of our services after we publish our changes to this Privacy Notice, means that the collection, use and sharing of your Personal Information is subject to the updated Privacy Notice.
9. Other important information
Security
We have implemented appropriate security measures to prevent your Personal Information from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your Personal Information to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need-to-know. They will only process your Personal Information on our specific instructions, and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
