The older I get, the more I realise that there is still so much to learn about the world around us. The saying, “You learn something new every day” is not very far from the truth though, so there is plenty of time to learn more! I learn a whole bunch of new stuff every time we publish an issue of Supernova. I had no idea, for example, that mimic octopi existed until one of our journalists suggested the curious creature for an article. It’s a seriously cool sea creature!
I also did not know that Leonardo da Vinci was a military advisor to Cesare Borgia, the son of Pope Alexander. The history of the Borgia family is as complex and interesting as that of da Vinci himself, so it was a real treat to find out they knew each other. I love history almost as much as Al does!
What have you learnt from reading Supernova that you didn’t know before? What would you still like to find out more about? Let me know and I will see what I can do…
