For thousands of years, humans have been explorers. We’ve crossed oceans, climbed mountains, and travelled to places no one had ever seen before. Today, astronauts continue that tradition by exploring space, venturing farther from Earth than ever before in search of new discoveries.
Every astronaut starts as a curious person asking questions. They don’t know all the answers, but they never stop learning. Whether they’re studying the stars, solving problems, or training for a mission, their success comes from being curious and willing to keep trying, even when things are difficult. Astronauts leave behind everything familiar and step into the unknown. They know there will be challenges along the way, but they face them with determination and teamwork. In our own lives, we may not be travelling to the Moon, but we all face moments when we need to be brave, whether it’s making a new friend, trying something difficult, or learning a new skill.
Perhaps the most powerful thing we can learn from astronauts comes from the view they have of Earth. Looking down from space, they don’t see countries, borders, or differences. They see one beautiful planet that we all share. It’s a reminder that we’re all connected and that each of us has a role to play in caring for our world and helping the people around us.
So as you explore this issue of Supernova, I hope you’ll think like an astronaut. Stay curious. Be brave enough to try new things. Ask big questions. And remember, every great adventure begins with someone wondering, “What if?”
