Description

Welcome to the first issue of our brand new Volume 12! The start of a new year (and a new volume) always brings lots of excitement for our team, as we plan out new ideas, new articles and new content for you! And, we are super excited to celebrate Supernova turning 12 this year! As we enter the new year and our new volume, I thought it was fitting to feature an animal that is very special and unique to the African landscape – meerkats! They are so resilient and adaptable, with unique strategies for finding food and shelter in the harsh desert environments they call home.

By embracing change and being open to new experiences, meerkats can teach us to navigate life’s challenges more effectively and emerge stronger than before! Most remarkably, meerkats thrive because they rely on each other and work together. This lesson is especially true for me as I enter my third year of being the editor of Supernova magazine – not only do I rely on the brilliant skills and hard work of my awesome team, but I am also very thankful for their innovative ideas and family spirit. We hope you enjoy this new issue packed with fascinating bits on the world around us, and we look forward to embarking on new adventures together in the coming year!

Happy reading, and stay curious kids!

~ Candice 🙂 (Supernova’s Editor)
